Bangkok floating market
(Damnoen Saduak in Thai)
Has become well-known over the years, mainly because of Hollywood films, as this place seems to make an excellent backdrop for action movies and chase scenes.
It has become a bit of a tourist attraction. However, it is also a great way to get an insight into Thai local life.
Visitors to Bangkok floating market will see the river teeming with wooden boats and people selling fruits and vegetables, these sellers paddle over to people standing on land to sell their produce.
Bangkok floating market is just as you would imagine from a Thai market lots of action and very loud.
This market is good fun and a great experience. However, some reviews have said it’s a little overpriced.

We went to Damnoen Saduak as part of a road trip with friends. Upon alighting from our rental van. We went straight to see the boats selling fruits.
It was an amazing sight to see it for the first time. There were also a lot of things on sale at the shops near the boat loading area.
We boarded the boats and went around for a while to see what people sell on their boats and the shops on the banks.
We alighted at this coconut sweets factory and had a try at their products. We were also given fresh coconut water to drink. We continued with the boat trip and went back to where we started.
In the end, we only bought the framed souvenir photo from Madame Paew’s Boat Service.
