This Hotel and Convention Centre in Udon Thani is largely accessible for wheelchairs, but does not have any fully adapted rooms and there are some areas that have steps with no ramps (see the accessible report below).

Udon Thani is one of the great commercial cities in the Northeast of Thailand, and is also the gateway to Laos, Northern Vietnam and Southern China, being close to the Friendship Bridge across the Mekong River. Newly renovated and reopened on December 15 2011 this Convention Centre is located in the heart of the city, one minute’s walk from Udon Thani’s largest  shopping and lifestyle center, the Central Plaza Udon Thani, spanning across five floors and comprising a Robinson’s department store and a TOPS supermarket together with a Major Cineplex and Major Bowl.

The pathways around the hotel are made of concrete

PUBLIC AREAS:
Internal door widths to public areas: 123 cm
There is level access into the Reception area and the Restaurants
Please not that the lounge and bars have 2 steps and no ramp
There are also 9 steps to access the swimming pool area and no ramp
There are lifts to public areas and rooms on all floors
A wheelchair is available for guests' use

PUBLIC TOILETS:
There is a wheelchair accessible public toilet

BEDROOMS:
There are no fully adapted disabled rooms
2 rooms in Standard category have a wheelchair access to the shower
Bedroom door widths are 90cm
There is adequate clearance and turning space for a wheelchair
There is space to transfer from wheelchair to bed
There are remote controls for TV and Air Conditioning
Bed height is 62cm
Height of electrical sockets and light switches is 120 - 150cm

BATHROOM:
Door width to bathroom is 80cm
There is adequate turning space for a wheelchair
There are grab rails for the bath
There is enough transfer space between the bath/shower and toilet for a wheelchair user
The bathroom has a roll in shower with level access suitable for a wheelchair
The bathroom has a separate shower
There are grab rails in the shower
A commode IS available for guests use
The hotel does NOT have a shower chair available for guests use
